|Description:||Candidate will act as the primary agent for the program. This position is responsible for the lawful and professional operation of the program which includes planning, developing and maintaining all required components. |
|Duties:||•Utilizing quality assurance activities, ensures the following components of the program are in accordance with DJJ standards, contract requirements and policies and manuals: Program Management, Health Care, Staff Development, Education Services, Case Management, & Mental Health. |
•Acquires and/or assures the acquisition and maintenance of all licenses, certifications or any other agreement necessary to operate the program in accordance with DJJ standards and contract requirements.
•Establishes and facilitates regular staff meetings and contract provider meetings.
•Attends case conferences and reviews.
•Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with DJJ representatives, court officials and other community agencies.
•Prepares and submits required Program Director reports and other related correspondence.
•Ensures staff development and provides supervision of all program staff to include training, scheduling and staff assignments per DJJ standards.
•Ensures staff job descriptions are updated as program changes require.
•Ensures the development and implementation of policies and procedures delineating the manner in which service delivery is both effective and ethically/legally correct.
•Ensures an effective Behavioral Modification System.
•Ensures that personnel policies are followed in accordance with the Foundation-wide Policy and Procedure Manual and Employee Handbook.
•Monitors all programmatic expenditures and keeps the program operating within the established budget.
•Ensures the on-going operation of the program in a manner that meets or exceeds all current standards and any future amendments.
•Ensures that medication is administered as prescribed by physician and in accordance with DJJ standards.
•Serves as Safety Coordinator ensuring quarterly safety meetings, minutes of meetings forwarded to Foundation Safety Coordinator, identification and resolution of safety issues.
•Follows all Foundation Policies & Procedures regarding Protected Health Information (PHI) as required by Federal & state laws.
Educational component of the program includes:
•Supervision of all instructors to include training and personnel actions.
•Ensures individual educational plans, student performance evaluations and monthly reports meet DJJ standards.
•Ensures the implementation and maintenance of the district approved education plan.
•Ensures that admission and release withdrawal paperwork is forwarded to Alternative Education per DJJ standards.
•Direct supervision of all program staff which includes: Personnel actions including recruitment, hiring, training, leave approval and disciplinary actions.
•Treatment team reviews.
•Ensures monthly reports and release withdrawal paperwork are completed by Case Managers.
Medical component of the program which includes:
•Supervision of medical staff.
•Staff medical training.
•Ensures medical records are maintained in accordance with DJJ standards.
•Ensures medication is administered as prescribed by physician and in accordance with DJJ standards.
•Ensures First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogen and CPR KITS are complete per DJJ standards.
Administrative oversight which includes:
•Responsible for all expenditure and receipt of funds.
•Maintain training and vendor files.
•Ensure monthly reports are completed and submitted per DJJ standards.
•Accountable for Foundation assets assigned to the program.
•Responsible for data collections and computer maintenance.
|Qualifications:||B.A./B.S degree (from a four year college or university) in Management, Criminal Justice, Social Work or a related field with at least two to four years of management experience. Experience working with adolescents is preferred.|
